3mm thickness. Thermoplastic knitted textile material on a 3m roll. Double the thickness of Orficast. Excellent elasticity in two directions. Can be reheated for modification. Easy to cut. Self-adhesive capacity, especially when dry heated. Available in three widths and two colours.

Orficast is 100% biodegradable. 

Orficast will break down naturally over time into carbon dioxide, water, and biomass by living microorganisms, such as bacteria and fungi. Keep in mind that the environment in which the product is placed influences its breakdown process. So, tossing away an Orficast splint in nature will not simply let it biodegrade. Elements like oxygen presence, temperature and humidity determine whether or not a biodegradable product will effectively biodegrade.

The proven biodegradability of Orficast is a first and very important step in conducting further actions and research on how to improve sustainability in hand therapy practices.
