The Downhill Racer is molded of flexible high-performance polyurethane and features a unique pole snap-in, pop-out action for safety and convenience. It has a pre-flexed pole angle for ensuring that the basket clears the snow. Lightweight at only 4 oz. (114 gm). Multiple flexibilities are available to meet specific age, weight and performance criteria and we can build one to meet individual needs. It is designed to fit 5/8-inch (1.6 cm) diameter poles; however, the system is modifiable for other equipment and an adapter is available for accommodating alternative pole sizes-diameters. The Racer was designed for slalom and downhill activity, cross-country skiing and mountaineering when with a hiking pole. It has a standard ½ inch diameter threaded mounting connector to fit most standard wrist openings. Passive, no cable required. Specify right or left when ordering. Color Black.
