External Breast Prostheses Reimbursement Program
This National Reimbursement Program is not means tested and it can be accessed by all women who are Permanent Residents, hold a Medicare card, and require a new Breast Form.
This program has been in operation since July 1st, 2008 and is funded for five years.
You are entitled to claim a new breast form (external breast prosthesis) every two years. The maximum entitlement is $400.00 for a single mastectomy and $800.00 for a double mastectomy; you cannot claim more than you paid for your breast form and you will need original receipts to prove your claim.
